Holiday Absences

USAG Girls Levels 2-10 Parents:
Would you please email me, or post in the Facebook group, the dates your athlete will be missing (if any) during the holidays?
I’m working on our Thanksgiving and Winter holiday schedule later this afternoon and would like to know how many coaches we will need 🙂
Thanks a bunch!

Runners & Flashers for UF Gym Meets

Hello Team Sun Country Parents!

We have received the paperwork and info for any of our gymnasts that want to be runners/flashers for the Gator gymnastics home meets in the 2020 season. The following notes are from Program Coordinator, Lee Turner:

– Gymnasts must be at least 9 years old and at least an XCEL Gold or Level 3. They also must be able to sit “still” during the meet.

– If you are a Level 9 or 10 athlete that is pursuing a college scholarship, due to NCAA eligibility rules, you may not participate.

– Must be able to get your gymnast to the O’Connell Center a minimum of an hour before meet time! NOTE: The Kentucky home meet will have a 6 pm start time due to its broadcast on SEC Network, so this will have a much earlier call time. Don’t sign up for this date unless you can accommodate the early call time.

This is first come, first served, so don’t stall on turning in your paperwork! Please scan your paperwork to , or email directly to

Sun Country XCEL Athletes, please check your meet schedule before submitting!

Thanks, everyone! Go Gators!

  • Only adults can earn funds that go directly into your booster club account to help defray competitive expenses. Money in your Booster Club account details are written in your BC bylaws.
  • Adults can earn $15 per hr for set up and take down of meet equipment credited to your gym account by Sun Country at the end of the meet.
  • If you are interested in handling the Pro Shop sales for the Teddy Bear Meet please contact Libby Evans at

Nov 4-8 Team Photos at both locations (more detailed info to follow)

Nov 4-8 Booster Club leotard consignment sale and Domino’s pizza sale. (More information to follow, help will be needed)

The SC Gymnastics Boosters promote all teams and provide for fundraising opportunities for those that want to be involved. Our meetings are usually once a month and only last for one hour!

The booster meetings are not meant to discuss personal gym problems or coaching issues. For those issues please contact your Team Department Leader.

The boosters still have an opening for a Hospitality Chair and Team Liaisons for each team.

Working together builds stronger teams. Get involved, ask me or any booster how you can get involved.

Thanks for your continued support.

Dance Opportunity

Attention all Girls Level 2 and Girls Developmental team parents,
We are excited to offer a new opportunity for your young athletes!
We will be offering a special dance class for any Level 2 or developmental team members. This class will be held with our dance teacher, Miss Elaina, on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 PM. The class will be a good mix of ballet instruction and technique as well as fun choreography and performance practice. The girls will even be working on a single performance from week to week that they will be able to present to their parents at the end of each four week session; October and November ONLY.
You will sign up for four classes at a time and the cost will be $40 for a total for that four pack of classes. The first class is set to begin next Tuesday, October 8th in the Millhopper dance room. Please sign up before the end of the day on Monday, October 7 to reserve your spot!
This will not be a drop in class and will not have make up classes offered. We will need 4 students to make this class go, so please think this through and let us know. If you have questions feel free to email me at
We hope you decide to enjoy this amazing class! Please respond to Daren at tomorrow.
Have a great rest of your weekend!
